Solutions and Suspensions
THERAPEX is capable of developing and manufacturing a wide variety of products to meet the increasingly diverse needs of our clients.
Oral and topical (prescription, OTC) solution, dispersion and suspension product types manufactured include syrups, antacids, laxatives, nasal sprays, medicated shampoos, sunscreens and acne treatments.
Packaging capabilities include glass, plastic bottle filling, plastic and polyfoil tubes, insertion of pump and droppers, labeling and cartoning.
Our capacity extends to the production of creams, ointments and gels.
Equipment and Capabilities
Manufacturing
- 100 L to 5,000 L 316SS tanks with side-sweep agitator and turbine.
- Automated tank mixing controls with temperature chart archiving.
- Homogenizers, colloid mills.
- Transfer tanks up to 5,000 L.
- Integrated liquid transfer to filling lines.
Packaging
- Automated 6-head linear filling lines (10 mL to 1 L) with check weigher and unscrambler.
- Monobloc filler (5 mL to 250 mL) multi-stage operation combined in one equipment.
- Security seal or band.
- Back and front labelers for all bottle shapes.
- Label and product inspection systems (camera and bar code).
- Ability to place pumps and droppers in bottles.
- Semi-automatic cartoning.
- Shrink wrapper.
- Product coding (ink jet and emboss).
- Conveyer lines for hand assembly.
Facility Utilities
- High-capacity reverse osmosis USP purified water system with total organic carbon analyzer and distribution loop to production zones. Output 25gpm, storage capacity 10,000 L.
- Central chilled water system and plant steam for production tank temperature control.
- Dedicated ventilation systems for environmental control (temperature, particle, humidity) of production, laboratory and warehousing areas.
- Dust and vapor collection to minimize cross-contamination.
- Back-up generator.
- Centrally monitored walk-in ICH stability chambers.
- Cold rooms and stand-alone freezers.
